Antenatal care provides an opportunity to monitor the health of the pregnant person and developing baby, identify risks, and plan appropriate care. The schedule and tests are tailored to medical history and stage of pregnancy.
Discuss medications, nutrition, blood pressure, diabetes screening and any new symptoms with your clinician. Seek urgent assessment for heavy bleeding, severe abdominal pain, seizures, severe headache with visual changes or reduced fetal movements later in pregnancy.
Educational information only. A clinician must evaluate individual symptoms and treatment options.
